James has worked in the wind industry for over three years and has been a qualified Electrician to HNC standard for over Ten years.

James first worked in the Wind Industry as part of a servicing team for Burbo Bank offshore Wind farm in 2009; Burbo Bank was one of the first offshore Wind farms to be installed in the UK. Experience working on industrial sized 3+Mega Watt Wind Turbine Generators was gained and also gave an invaluable insight into how everyday tasks are achieved regarding coordination, task planning, logistical planning and execution of projects regardless of size.

James was also required to adhere to and complete extensive internal training programs consisting of many safety training units as well as Turbine specific knowledge based courses which are of the highest of standards, giving a detailed break down and assessment of how the various components and control systems function and also in-depth procedures for the rectification of malfunctioned systems.

Since working for Siemens, James has used his gained knowledge, to set up Advanced Wind Solutions Ltd, a Wind Turbine maintenance company for both offshore and onshore wind farms with two other colleagues, Gary Dunne and Chris Lewis, offering a range of services.

We have provided our services to Eon for over a year, and continue to do so. This enabled James to build on his knowledge within the Renewables sector and continue to progress in such an important developing industry.
